Harsh \Harsh\ (h[aum]rsh), adjective [Compar. {Harsher} (h[aum]rsh"[~e]r); superl. {Harshest}.] [OE. harsk; akin to G. harsch, Dan. harsk rancid, Sw. h[aum]rsk; from the same source as E. hard. See {Hard}, adjective]
