Symbolize \Sym"bol*ize\, verb (used without an object) [imp. & p. p. {Symbolized}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Symbolizing}.] [Cf. F. symboliser.]

1. To have a resemblance of qualities or properties; to correspond; to harmonize.
