Parch \Parch\ (p[aum]rch), verb (used with an object) [imp. & p. p. {Parched}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Parching}.] [OE. perchen to pierce, hence used of a piercing heat or cold, OF. perchier, another form of percier, F. percer. See {Pierce}.]
