{PKWare}'s {PKZIP} or a compatible {archiver}. Its use is
spreading from {MS-DOS} now that portable implementations of
the {algorithm} have been written.
zip is also the name of a {Unix} archiving utility compatible
with {PKZIP}. {unzip} is the corresponding de-archiver.
